Portfolio > Project: Learning Experience Enhancement
The project aimed to enhance the learning experience for users by creating a proper architecture within a Learning Experience Platform (LXP) and curating personalized learning journeys. This involved identifying and migrating existing content, designing a user-centric architecture, transforming and creating bite-sized learning assets in various formats to accommodate different learning styles, and integrating assessments and knowledge checks to measure learning outcomes and impact.
My responsibilities included leading the full project: the orchestration of the design process, collaborating with stakeholders (with top management, subject matter experts, instructional designers, content creators, and vendors), to finally pull all together and implement it to ensure a seamless and engaging learning experience for users.
Engage with top management to understand the business strategy and the capability building needs.
Collaborated with subject matter experts to identify existing learning content and surface gaps.
Worked with the technical team to migrate content into the Learning Experience Platform, ensuring proper categorization and organization for easy access.
Conducted user research to understand learners' roles, functions, and learning preferences.
Conducted user interviews and surveys to gather insights into learners' preferences, behaviours, and pain points.
Developed user personas representing different roles/functions within the organization to inform the design process.
Designed the information architecture of the Learning Experience Platform, defining the structure and navigation flow.
Developed a content strategy to organize and categorize learning content based on relevance and learner personas.
Collaborated with instructional designers to transform lengthy content into bite-sized learning assets.
Designed interactive quizzes, simulations, and assignments to reinforce learning and provide immediate feedback.
Created wireframes and mock-ups for the user interface, focusing on intuitive navigation, visual hierarchy, and accessibility.
Created learning assets in various formats (e.g., videos, interactive modules, quizzes) to cater to different learning styles.
Integrated knowledge checks and assessments throughout the learning journeys to measure learners' understanding and retention of key concepts.
Gathered feedback on navigation, content discoverability, and overall user experience.
Designed a visually engaging and intuitive interface for accessing and consuming learning content within the LXP that aligned with the organization's branding guidelines.
Analysed assessment data to measure the impact of upskilling efforts and identify areas for improvement.
Oversaw the launch of the enhanced Learning Experience, coordinating communication and training efforts for users.
Monitored user feedback, engagement post-launch, and data captured making adjustments as needed to optimize the experience and impact.
User interface designs for the Learning Experience Platform, including wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes.
Personalized learning journeys/pathways for different roles/functions within the organization.
Bite-sized learning assets in various formats, along with assessments and knowledge checks.
Documentation outlining the architecture and design decisions, along with the suggested governance and taxonomy.
Improved accessibility to the capability building programs within the organization, leading to increased engagement and participation in the upskilling training programs.
Personalized learning journeys/pathways resulted in more relevant and targeted learning experiences for users, leading to higher satisfaction and retention rates thanks to the development.
Bite-sized learning assets and assessments helped reinforce learning and measure the impact of upskilling efforts, ultimately contributing to the overall growth and development of the organization's workforce.
