The project aimed to improve the functionalities and usability of the job board for a recruitment company specializing in connecting master’s students with top career opportunities. The existing job board was deemed unintuitive and difficult to navigate, leading to frustration among users. The proposed solution focused on a user-centered approach, consistent with the new branding, device responsive and addressing pain points identified through user interviews and user session recordings.
My responsibilities included leading and orchestrating the full project: evaluating the existing job board, conducting user research, designing the new user interface, reviewing the end-to-end user experience including communications and ensuring accessibility and consistency. I collaborated closely with stakeholders, developers, and users throughout the design and implementation process.
Conducted user interviews to understand their experiences, pain points, and expectations regarding the job board.
Analyzed user recordings from Hotjar to identify common issues and areas for improvement in the existing interface.
Compiled insights from research to inform the design of the new job board.
Developed user personas representing students and employers, considering their goals, motivations, and behaviours.
Created wireframes and prototypes for the new job board, incorporating features and improvements based on research findings and user feedback.
Designed the user interface following a user-centered approach, ensuring intuitive navigation, clear information hierarchy, and consistency with the company's new branding guidelines.
Built interactive prototypes of the new job board with the development team to simulate user interactions and gather feedback from stakeholders and target users.
Conducted usability testing sessions with users to evaluate the effectiveness of the new design in addressing pain points and improving usability.
Optimize the user experience based of feedback.
